The short version: our apps do their work on your device. We don’t collect your personal information, we don’t track you, and we don’t sell or share data, because we never have it in the first place.
Who we are
This policy covers the apps published by Hudson-Peralta, LLC (“Hudson-Peralta,” “we,” “us”), based in Detroit, Michigan, and the website at nohandmade.com. Our apps currently include a11y Keys, Contrast A11y, and Check Yo Self.
Information our apps collect
Our apps do not collect, store on our servers, transmit, or share any personal information. They have no accounts, no sign-in, no advertising, and no third-party analytics or tracking tools. We do not receive any data about how you use them.
Some features need access to parts of your device. That access is used only to make the feature work, on your device, in the moment:
- a11y Keys uses the macOS Accessibility APIs to type into the app you’re focused on. What you type, and the words you swipe or tap, are handled on your Mac to enter text and offer word predictions. They are not recorded, saved, or sent anywhere by us.
- Contrast A11y reads the color of the pixel you choose on your screen so it can calculate a contrast ratio. It does not save or transmit screen contents.
- Check Yo Self uses your iPhone’s camera to show a live, zoomed-in view. Images are processed on your device. Nothing is saved to your photo library or sent to us unless you take that action yourself.
Any preferences you set (for example, theme or layout) are stored locally on your device.
Information from Apple
If you download our apps from the App Store, Apple handles your purchase, payment, and account. Apple may share limited, aggregated analytics or crash information with developers if you have opted in on your device. That information is anonymous and we can’t use it to identify you. Apple’s own privacy policy applies to what Apple collects.
This website
We don’t use cookies, advertising trackers, or analytics services on this website. If you pick light or dark mode, that choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers it. It never leaves your browser.
Like most web servers, ours may automatically keep basic technical logs, such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. We use these only to keep the site secure and working, and we delete them after a short time.
When you contact us
If you email support@hudson-peralta.com, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to tell us. We use it only to reply, to fix problems, and to improve our apps. We don’t add you to mailing lists and we don’t share your messages, except where required by law. Please don’t send sensitive personal information.
Sharing your information
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We may disclose information we hold (such as a support email) only if required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or the safety of others.
Children
Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Your rights and choices
Because our apps don’t collect your personal information, there is generally nothing for us to access, correct, or delete. You can remove any locally stored app data at any time by deleting the app. If you have emailed us and want your messages deleted, or if you live somewhere with privacy rights (such as the EU, UK, or California) and want to use them, email us and we’ll respond promptly.
Security
Keeping data on your device is our main safeguard. We also take reasonable steps to protect the small amount of information we do hold, like support email. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
If we change how our apps or website handle information, we’ll update this page and the effective date above. If a change is significant, we’ll make it clear in the app or on this site before it takes effect.
