Hudson-Peralta, LLC is an independent app company built around a pretty simple idea: if the thing you need doesn’t exist, make it.

Ryan Hudson-Peralta has been designing apps, websites, interfaces, clothing, and physical products for most of his life. But for years, he was usually designing them for someone else.

That changed when he had an idea for an app he wanted to use and discovered that nobody had made it yet.

So he made it himself.

And then he made another one.

The company grew out of the same approach Ryan has taken throughout his life. When something doesn’t work for him, isn’t accessible, or simply doesn’t exist yet, his first thought is usually: How could this be better?

Sometimes the answer is an accessibility tool. Sometimes it’s a tiny utility that solves one oddly specific problem. Sometimes it’s an app that probably makes you wonder why someone bothered making it at all.

Those might be his favorite ones.

Small apps. Real problems.

The goal isn’t to add more complicated software to the world just because it can be built.

The focus is on simple, thoughtful apps that do something useful, solve a problem, make something easier, or occasionally just make life a little more fun.

No giant platforms. No feature lists that require a map.

Just thoughtfully designed apps made to do their job well.

About Ryan

Ryan Hudson-Peralta, also known online as Look Mom No Hands, is a Detroit-based designer, inventor, speaker, and accessibility advocate who has been designing for most of his life.

Ryan was born without hands and unable to walk, which has given him a slightly different perspective on how things are designed—and plenty of reasons to question why they’re designed that way in the first place.

Throughout his career, he has designed digital experiences and physical products, invented solutions to problems in his own life, and worked to make the world more accessible and inclusive.

This app company is really just the latest version of something Ryan has been doing his entire life:

If what he needs doesn’t exist, he creates it.

Hand built with care.

Technically, nothing around here is hand-built.

But every app is designed with decades of product and interface design experience, a strong point of view, and probably more attention to tiny details than is healthy.
